Welcome to the North Carolina Medical Device Organization, a nonprofit association of medical device and diagnostic businesses, educational institutions, suppliers, and other interested parties.  NCMD is dedicated to enhancing and improving the medical device and diagnostic business climate.  North Carolina has a strong infrastructure that can be capitalized on by brining together the community.

North Carolina’s infrastructure includes device and diagnostic technology development companies and manufacturers, top-notch research universities, community colleges, medical schools, and teaching hospitals.  A few specific examples include advanced sensors, tissue engineered devices, and imaging technologies developed at university Biomedical Engineering programs and within emerging companies.  The state has a trained and experienced bio-manufacturing workforce.  NCMD aims to benefit the community with programs designed specifically for the needs of medical device and diagnostic companies.  Whether an established company, startup, manufacturer, service provider, or other interested party, NCMD will provide access to valuable educational, economic development, public policy, and networking opportunities.
